Caldwell County Genealogy Society

The Objective of the CCGS is to assist the members and community in genealogical research and to collect and preserve records of genealogical value to Caldwell County and adjoining counties, and to stimulate interest in recording of family history. The Society sponsors an annual Ghost Walk fundraiser. We dedicate ourselves to aiding the Glenn Martin Genealogy Center in Princeton with their mission to preserve and make resources available to the public. Membership is open to ALL. www.caldwellkygen.org is the website for the Caldwell County Genealogical Society and there is a Calendar page for meetings, not just for the Genealogy Society, but for all of the Genealogical Societies of Caldwell County.

Caldwell County Historical Society

The CCHS was originally established as a project for the Kentucky Bicentennial in 1991, with the purpose of promoting a great awareness of the history and heritage of our county. Objectives are to help preserve historical data, memorabilia and sites, and to share knowledge gained through programs, publications, and observances of local historical significances. Membership open to all ages.

Fredonia Valley Heritage Society

The Society seeks to identify and promote awareness of the history and heritage of the Fredonia Valley and to support the preservation of that history and heritage.

Daughters of the American Revolution – General John Caldwell Chapter

The DAR is a volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children. Any women 18 years or older who can prove a bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join.

Son’s of the American Revolution – Col. William Prince Chapter

The SAR is a patriotic, historical, and educational group who seek to unite and promote fellowship among the descendants of those who sacrificed to achieve the independence of the American people, to inspire them and the community with a profound reverence for the principles of the government founded by our forefathers; to foster patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of freedom.

The Daughters of the American Colonists – Heart of Western Kentucky DAC

Members are descendants of men and women who were residents of America when it was under foreign government as colonies and who served in 27 categories of acceptable patriotic or civil service prior to July 4, 1776.

The Daughters of the Confederacy – Tom Johnson Chapter #886

The UDC is the outgrowth of many local memorial, monument, and Confederate home associations and auxiliaries to camps of United Confederate Veterans. The objectives are Historical, Educational, Benevolent, Memorial and Patriotic. Membership to the Princeton Chapter is open to all females.

Sons of Confederate Veterans – Jim Pearce Camp Chapter #2527

The SCV is the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers. Organized in 1896, continuing to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to ensuring the true history of the 1861-1865 period is preserved. Membership in the Princeton Camp is open to all.
